Points Rummy

Points Rummy at Bigrummy.com is a card game with minimum 2 (two) to maximum 6 (six) players played in a table with 2 packs of cards consisting 52 cards + 1 joker card each. Each playertakes turns to pick and discard one card from closed/open deck to group them in sequences and/orsets, and finally to arrange all 13 cards in-hand in one pure sequence, one pure or impuresequence and/or other sequences / sets.
  • 1)Joining a table:- Players can join a table and take seat in any available point rummy table from lobby , each table will have chips value (cash/fun) against points.

  • 2)Entry fee:- There is a minimum entry fee to join a table, but player can take any amount more than that, up to his balance, the same amount will be deducted from his account balance.

  • 3)Game start:- For six players the table will start after 30 seconds of second player taken seat, toallow other players to join in empty seat. For two players the table will start after 10 seconds of second player.

  • 4)Card shuffle:- Deck cards will be shuffled and each player will be dealt with 13 cards randomly from deck.

  • 5)Toss:- A random toss will decide which player will get the first turn, and who will be the dealer.

  • 6)Open Deck:- First card from the deck is placed in the open deck, and all discarded cards by player will be placed in open deck, players can pick the visible card from open deck, if needed, intheir turn. Picking any discarded Joker card from open deck is not allowed to pick.

  • 7)Closed deck:- Remaining cards are placed face-down in the closed deck slot, players can pick the top card from the closed deck in their turn.

  • 8)Joker:- A card randomly selected as joker card, to be placed face up partially under closed deck.Player can use any card of same value from any suit as wildcard. If printed joker is selected as oker, then Ace of any suit can be used as joker. Any printed joker card can be use as wildcard in a group

  • 9)Sort:– Sort button will be available to use once in every round to sort cards in group of same suits in ascending order.

  • 10)Turn: - Each player will have their turn of 30 seconds, to drop or pick a card from close/open deck and then discard one card or finish game. Extra 30 seconds timer will be added, if no action performed.

  • 11)Drop:- Player can choose to drop the hand , before picking card in his turn, by clicking drop button. A 20 point for early drop in first round and 40 points for middle drop in consecutive rounds will be added in result, and player will be waiting in the table for next round to start.

  • 12)Autodrop:- If player do not pick any card and extra time is over, the players hand will be automatically dropped.

  • 13)Leave table:- Player can leave table during the game, A full 80 points will be deducted for leaving the running table in first round, and 40 points if leave table in consecutive rounds

  • 14)Auto discard:- If player picked one card and do not discard, after extra time over, the picked card will be automatically discarded and turn will move to next player.

  • 15)Disconnection auto drop / auto play: - If player is disconnected, the hand will be auto dropped after extra time over in the first turn. If player is disconnected on consecutive turns, on extra time over, One card from closed deck will be picked and discarded to open deck automatically (auto play).

  • 16)Grouping:- Cards can be grouped to maximum of six group by selecting more than one card and clicking on group button or by dragging one card to any existing group.

  • 17)Finish / declare /show :- Any player, if he thinks he thinks he have arranged cards properly for a valid declaration, can finish /declare/ show after picking one card in his turn, by clicking finish button or finish slot.

  • 18)Melding : - On finish player will need to meld cards in groups in melding boxes, by using ‘meld all’ button to send card as current groups, or individually selecting three or more cards and clicking ‘meld’ button. After melding player need to click submit to send cards for evaluation.On correct show of one player, the others will get melding screen to meld and submit their cards.

  • 19)Auto melding:- If not submitted and melding time is over, cards will be auto submitted as last known groups / meldings arranged.

  • 20)Clear melding:- After melding and before submit, player can use clear all button (mobile) or click on melding box cards (web) to revert the melding process of the box /cards.

  • 21)Sequence:- three or more cards of the same suit in a row are called a sequence.

    • i)Example: 3H, 4H, 5H

  • 22)Pure sequence (rummy):- A sequence without a Joker is called a Pure Sequence.

    • i)Example: 3H, 4H, 5H is a pure sequence even if 4H be the Joker

    • ii)Example : QD,JD,10D

  • 23)Impure sequence :- A sequence with using a Joker as wildcard is called a impure Sequence.

    • i)Example: 7 H, 8 H, JR, 10 H is impure sequence, while a printed Joker can be considered as replacement of 9 H.

    • ii)Example:- If ‘5S’ is Joker, then --- 7 H, 5C, 5H, JR, 9 H is impure sequence, as 5C and 5H are jokers replacing 8H and 9H .

  • 24)Set:- 3 or more cards of the same face value but different suits in a row are called a Set.

    • i)Example: 4H, 4S, 4C or 9H, 9S, 9C, 9D.

    • ii)It must be noted that a set should not contain cards from the same suit (for the game is played with 2 or more packs). E.g.: 6S, 6S, 6H is an invalid set

  • 25)Correct show / rummy:- To place a correct show the 13 cards needs to be melded in groups of three or more cards, consisting at least two sequences , one of which must be pure sequence (rummy), and remaining groups of pure or impure sequence or sets.

  • 26)Wrong show: - If the declared cards of player, who finishes the round, does not contain valid rummy, player will be dropped with 80 points and table continues for other players.

  • 27)Winner points: Winner of the round is awarded sum of all loosing players points, in result table equivalent real chips value will be shown.

  • 28)Result table points calculation :-

    • i)Wrong show or leave table will be considered as 80 points

    • ii)Early drop will be 20 and middle drop will be 40 points.

    • iii)Open show: If the losing player has not had his first turn before the opponent has made a valid show, then the losing player gets points equal to half of his hand score, with maximum of 40 points and minimum of 2 points

      • a)Example:- if the hand score for a losing player is 30 points, then the player gets 15 points as his score.

    • iv)If one pure sequence (rummy) is there, the points of the group will be calculated as zero.

    • v)If no second rummy is there, remaining cards value will be summed up as total points.

    • vi)If a second rummy is there, the points of the second rummy group will be calculated as zero.

    • vii)Remaining groups if grouped as pure/ impure sequence or in a valid set of same value of cards of different suits, the points of the group will be calculated as zero

    • viii)All other cards, if not grouped in valid sequence/sets ,value of cards will be summed up as total points

    • ix)J, Q, K, A of any suit carry 10 points each.

    • x)All other numbered cards carry the same points as their face value e.g. 5C carries 5 points and 8H carries 8 points

    • xi)Joker cards carry zero points.

    • xii)If total point ismore than 80, only 80 points will be awarded.

    • xiii)If total point zero, then 2 points will be awarded.

  • 29Card points :

    • i)J, Q, K, A of any suit carry 10 points each.

    • ii)All other numbered cards carry the same points as their face value e.g. 5C carries 5 points and 8H carries 8 points

    • iii)Joker cards carry zero points

  • 30)Continue playing: - After one round is over , the player can continue to next round in same table,by clicking ‘continue’ button in result table, else he will leave the table to reach in the lobby at end of result table timer.

  • 31)Final accounts: - When a table is completed or any player leave the table, the equivalent chips of points will be added to his main account balance.

Blind Rummy

Blind Rummy at Bigrummy.com is a card game with minimum 2 (two) to maximum 6 (six) players played in a table with 2 packs of cards consisting 52 cards + 1 joker card each. Each player takes turns to pick one card from closed deck only and discard one card to group them in sequences and/or sets, and finally to arrange all 13 cards in-hand in one pure sequence, one pure or impure sequence and/or other sequences / sets.
  • 1)Joining a table:- Players can join a table and take seat in any available blind rummy table from lobby , each table will have chips value (cash/fun) against points

  • 2)Entry fee:- There is a minimum entry fee to join a table, but player can take any amount up to his balance, the same amount will be deducted from his account balance

  • 3)Game start: For six players the table will start after 30 seconds of second player taken seat, to allow other players to join in empty seat. For two players the table will start after 10 seconds ofsecond player.

  • 30)Point limit exceed:if point of one player exceeds 201 points, he will not be allowed to play in next round and will be out of table to lobby.

  • 31)Winning pool rummy:

    • i)When all other player’s points exceeds 201 point, the player with points less than 201 will be the winner.

  • 32)Split :In pool Rummy, players can use the 'Split' option if they choose to split the prize money. The split option will work as a function of number of drops remaining for a player. Number of drops remaining is defined as the number of times a player can drop a game and still remain in the game

Deal Rummy (Best of 3)

Deal Rummy at Bigrummy.com is a card game with two players played in a table with 2 packs of cards consisting 52 cards + 1 joker card each. Each player takes turns to pick and discard one card from closed/open deck to group them in sequences and/or sets, and finally to arrange all 13 cards in-hand in one pure sequence, one pure or impure sequence and/or other sequences / sets. The player with minimum points at the end of three rounds will be the winner.

    • ii)It must be noted that a set should not contain cards from the same suit (for the game is played with 2 or more packs). E.g.: 6S, 6S, 6H is an invalid set

  • 25)Correct show / rummy:- To place a correct show the 13 cards needs to be melded in groups of three or more cards, consisting at least two sequences , one of which must be pure sequence (rummy), and remaining groups of pure or impure sequence or sets

  • 26)Wrong show: - If the declared cards of player, who finishes the round, does not contain valid rummy, player will be dropped with 80 points and table continues for other players.

  • 27)Winner points: Winner of the round is awarded zero points for round. At end of game, equivalents chips of prize amount will be added back to winning player balance.

  • 28)Result table points calculation :-

    • i)Wrong show will be considered as 80 points.

    • ii)Auto drop will be 80 points.

    • iii)Open show: If the losing player has not had his first turn before the opponent has made a valid show, then the losing player gets points equal to half of his hand score, with maximum of 40 points and minimum of 2 points.

      • a)Example: - if the hand score for a losing player is 30 points, then the player gets 15 points as his score.

    • vi)If one pure sequence (rummy) is there, the points of the group will be calculated as zero.

    • v)If no second rummy is there, remaining cards value will be summed up as total points.

    • vi)If a second rummy is there, the points of the second rummy group will be calculated as zero

    • vii)Remaining groups if grouped as pure/ impure sequence or in a valid set of same value of cards of different suits, the points of the group will be calculated as zero

    • viii)All other cards, if not grouped in valid sequence/sets ,value of cards will be summed up as total points.

    • ix)J, Q, K, A of any suit carry 10 points each.

    • x)All other numbered cards carry the same points as their face value e.g. 5C carries 5 points and 8H carries 8 points.

    • xi)Joker cards carry zero points

    • xii)If total point is more than 80, only 80 points will be awarded

    • xiii)If total point zero, then 2 points will be awarded.

  • 29)Winning deal rummy: -

    • i)If at the end of second round, the point difference is more than 80, the minimum scorer will be winner

    • ii)The players with minimum points at end of third round will be winner

    • iii)If there is a tie, the game will continue for fourth round.
